What is a NFC?
NFC stands for Near-field communication. NFC is a set of communication protocols that enable two electronic devices, one of which is used on a portable device such as a smartphone, to establish communication by bringing them within few centimeters. NFC is rooted in radio-frequency identification technology (known as RFID) which allows compatible hardware to both supply power to and communicate with an otherwise unpowered and passive electronic tag using radio waves.
Fewer Cards has an NFC chip embedded inside of it. This gives Fewer Cards the ability for NFC enable Smart Devices to simply tap to read the data on the card.
How to use the card's NFC on an Apple iOS devices?
To use the personal card on Apple iOS devices we recommend using a third party iOS app. The NFC scanning capabilities for the personal cards requires iOS 11.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR.
To use the social media card or the digital currency card on Apple iOS devices there is no need to use a third party iOS app. The NFC scanning capabilities for social media card or the digital currency card requires iOS 11.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR.
